2021 sees the 60th anniversary of the Jaguar E-Type and Fiennes Classics has seen a fair few of them come through their workshop over the years.
When Fiennes Classics were kindly invited by the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club to attend an end of season track day event at Castle Combe race circuit, one owner’s day didn’t quite go according to plan with a bit of an off-track excursion, so it was up to our team to undertake the work on putting the E-Type back to its original condition.
After a collision with the tyre wall, it had a badly damaged rear and upon initial inspection back at the workshop it was clear that the spare wheel had absorbed a large part of the impact.
Extensive work was carried out including re-alignment of the body, panels replaced, repainted and re-assembled, resulting in what looks like a new car.
Fiennes Classics are grateful to fellow Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club Member Partner, SNG Barratt and Martin Robey for a superb level of support to the supply chain, which allows classic cars like this Jaguar E-Type to live on today.
As a partner of the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club, we have welcomed members to our workshop tours and look forward to welcoming more members to our facilities in the Cotswolds in the future.
